A Glimpse Behind The Scenes
As you probably know, I like to show how some of my artwork comes together: how a piece evolves and grows and the process I use to physically create it. Well now I’ve been given another platform to do it. Luckily for you, it’s confined to 500 words!
For some reason I cannot fathom, I’ve been asked to write a monthly column for local newspaper, The Impartial Reporter. The series will give me an opportunity to explain a little about myself, my work and the strange goings on in my slanted little world.
I’ll be talking about my art, music and whatever else I happen to be doing at the time.
There’s plenty to begin with as Cadaver Club is about to launch debut album ‘A Fate Worse Than Life’ and we prepare for our first UK tour. In later months I’ll be waffling on about some painting or other I’m working on or maybe the next powerhose mural project or perhaps just about nothing in particular…maybe a list of people I don’t like! Mmm, maybe not.
‘Behind The Scenes’ begins in tomorrow’s paper and I wrote it surrounded by boxes as I was in the middle of moving house and getting several paintings finished before their deadlines.
I know, I know, I’m a trooper!
Short and sweet this time, eh? Bet you wish it was always like this,
Kev
